PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 05, 2011 – Since its launch last summer, after extensive customer consultation, manufacture of the New Leaf salad box range has continued to increase to meet demand. The company made a significant investment in manufacturing the range to meet consumer and retailer demands for an environmentally sound packaging solution which easily shows the quality and freshness of its contents.
The boxes, made from a recyclable APET, offer excellent levels of product presentation and, with the added feature of corner ribs to boost product strength, increased protection to the salad contents. Available in five sizes, 250ml, 375ml, 500ml, 750ml and 1 litre capacity, the New Leaf salad boxes feature a strong hinged lid to prevent leaks and maintain freshness. Bespoke branding can be applied to the box lids which are indented. Retailers will find the boxes are stackable and can be easily stored.
Megan Ashcroft, European food service marketing manager at LINPAC Packaging, said: “The New Leaf range came about after significant investment from LINPAC Packaging, both in terms of capital investment and in the time we spent talking to our customers about their requirements and the need of the consumer.
“It has proved popular among retailers since its launch and we have been highly impressed with sales so far. Spring is just around the corner and as is typical for the time of year, shoppers begin to buy more salad products. To coincide with this, we are anticipating that demand for the New Leaf salad boxes will increase too. We are confident that it will be a successful first year for a product which was designed in direct response to customer needs. Strength, presentation and recyclable properties were all factors that came up repeatedly when we carried out our research. We believe New Leaf provides a total solution for retailers wishing to offer an attractive, fresh and environmental packaging solution to their customers.”
The range is available across Europe and complements the company’s existing food service packaging options, including EPS boxes, catering trays, films and pizza discs.
