Who Cares About the Earth? By Stephanie Hang

The boy throws the newspaper he reads into the garbage can.
The girl says "Hey! That newspaper can be recycled."
The boy says "Who cares about the Earth?"
The girl goes and picks up the newspaper from the garbage can and places it into the recycling bin.
The girl says "Ohh right..because apparently caring about the Earth is stupid..."

It's not like we live here right?
It's not like animals going extinct are our first instinct
It's not like breath-taking views are being depleted into a few
It's not like our health can be at risk because of our wealth
It's not like using a nonreusable water bottle will cause the amount of plastic to be trippled

Nope..it's not like we have the biggest impact on the future of our environment right?

The boy sees someone throw a plastic water bottle into the trashcan
And he says "We cannot let our earth become a trashcan"
